<p> Kells St. Patrick’s Day festival, with its authentic Irish music, family entertainment and food, has become one of the largest in Portland.  This year, Kells will offer three days of merriment from March 17-19.</p>

<p>The three-day celebration begins on Thursday March 17th (St Patrick’s Day) at 10 a.m. featuring Irish dancing, pipe bands, live Irish music, food and beverages.  Family Day welcomes all ages with no admission charge on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 5p.m. Unique this year will be a showing of some of the original artwork from the Oscar nominated “The Secret of Kells” during Family Day. There will be Irish dancing, arts, crafts, complimentary Irish cheese samples, face painting and Irish wolfhounds for the enjoyment of everyone.</p>

<br />March 19 (Saturday)—Pub open 7 a.m. – 2 a.m. with live entertainment starting at 6:30pm. Festival tent, 11 a.m.-midnight. Families admitted to festival tent from 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. </p>

<p>DaimlerChrysler features the trademark Choose Your Own Adventure in their recently launched ad campaign for the new Jeep Patriot.  Chooseco also seeks to injunct DaimlerChrysler and its advertising partners from continued use of their mark in the campaign. </p>

<p>On March 13, Jeep and DaimlerChrysler launched an advertising campaign for the new Jeep Patriot using &#8220;Choose Your Adventure&#8221; throughout print, online and television ads.  The campaign features an interactive website and movie which is recognizably similar to the model used for the Choose Your Own Adventure book series. Jeep&#8217;s press release describes the &#8220;Choose Your Adventure&#8221; campaign as  &#8220;interactive&#8221; and its goal as one for &#8220;consumers to directly impact the evolution of the plot through their…choices.&#8221;  The Patriot is Jeep&#8217;s most affordable model and the campaign press release lists the target demographic as &#8220;young, active men and women.&#8221;  </p>

<p>&#8220;The misappropriation of the Choose Your Own Adventure mark by Jeep is particularly harmful as Choose Your Own Adventure books have also promoted interactive adventure and active lifestyles for boys and girls for over 20 years,&#8221; stated Chooseco publisher Shannon Gilligan. &#8220;The series maintains a large fan base of original readers who are now in the exact demographic Jeep targets. An internal market study done by one of our licensees indicated a 75% recognition rate of the Choose Your Own Adventure brand among 25-35 year olds.  Choose Your Own Adventure has enormously positive associations for these young consumers. This Jeep ad campaign is a gross abuse of our brand.&#8221;</p>

<p>Requests of Daimler Chrysler, BBDO, Organic Interactive and Marvel to cease and desist their infringement of Chooseco&#8217;s trademark have been denied.  &#8220;We regret that we were forced to file suit to stop their behavior but we are committed to staunchly protecting the trademark from misappropriation,&#8221; Montgomery noted.  &#8220;One would think that in the business most associated with protecting and building creative brands, BBDO and Organic would have run a simple check of trademarks during the creative development process.&#8221;</p>

<p> Summer lacrosse camps leader GameBreaker Lacrosse has published their 2011 summer lacrosse camp schedule.  Over 5,000 lacrosse players attend these camps annually to get better, make friends, and have fun.  Overnight and day lacrosse camps are offered.</p>

<p>The GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps have a unique balance between instruction and scrimmages at their camps, providing campers with the opportunity to learn new skills while also gaining game-time experience.  Cornell University Head Coach Jeff Tambroni, the 2009 Field Turf / NCAA Division I Coach of the Year and GameBreaker Director for the Miami Lacrosse Camp, says “summer lacrosse camp provides a great opportunity to improve a player’s individual skills in a learning environment that is both fun and challenging.” </p>

<p>Lacrosse is the fastest growing team sport in the country with over 300,000 youth players and 225,000 high school players, according to US Lacrosse.  Many coaches appreciate the role that camp plays in the development of team members.  “Teams are developed in the season, while players are developed in the summer,” according to Chris Bulger, the President of GameBreaker Lacrosse Camps.  This year, over 100,000 players will attend a summer lacrosse camp for boys or girls.</p>
